Amazingly perfect location, just a stone's throw from a fascinating salt-mine museum. The breakfast spread was top-notch, with plenty of tasty options to choose from 🍳.

Proximity to the lake shore, thought it is about 15 minutes walk to the center of the town.

The hotel is located on the main street right after the tunnel. I got lost with the address and the navigation system because the street this hotel is on is divided by pedestrian road.

The room is clean and quiet. It is near the town center and the salt mine.

We stayed in a standard double room with a balcony and enjoyed fantastic breakfasts. The gluten-free bread provided was pretty decent. The location was absolutely perfect, just steps away from a cavernous salt-mine museum.

Being at the edge of the small town, everything was in walking distance. Very convenient with public transport. Comfortable rooms and good breakfast.

I had a fantastic experience at Pension Bergfried. The breakfast was delicious and they even provided gluten-free bread. My room had a balcony, great heating, and large windows. The location was excellent, within walking distance from the ferry port. I also found a great restaurant, Gasthof Zauner, close to the hotel for dinner.

Gasthof Bergfried was a wonderful place to stay for me and my family. They made special arrangements for us, and we really appreicate their hospitality. I strongly recommend this as a great hotel for families and anyone who wishes to visit Hallstatt.
